My name is Casey Kinney. One thing about me, even at a very young age growing up on a farm, was a fascination with how tractors could run on liquid. This was before I knew that there were many different kinds of liquids.
I would see my dad, or my uncle, put this liquid into the tanks on top of their tractors then go putt-putting around the farm. I wanted to know more about that.
Naturally, my first driving experience after the tricycle was the tractor. I quickly learned all the controls. I purposefully experimented with how the controls affected the movement and performance of the tractor.
As a teenager I loved to maneuver machinery and wagons around with a flourish whenever possible to show off my skills.
I would even attempt backing up with a baler and a wagon behind the tractor, just to see if I could do it. I found out I could.
It does remind me though that those experiences may have something to do with how easy it is for me to parallel park.
